Program (SBAP) offers information, advice and guidance in dealing with the following social benefit programs:<\/p><ul><li>Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) Program<\/li><li>Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP)<\/li><li>Income Support (Alberta Works)<\/li><\/ul><p>By providing you with information about your rights and next steps, our Social Benefits Advocacy Program can assist clients with:<\/p><ul><li>Keeping existing benefits<\/li><li>Increasing the benefit amount<\/li><li>Appealing a benefit denial decision or change in benefits<\/li><li>Obtaining medical documentation<\/li><li>Preparing for an appeal hearing<\/li><li>Understanding benefit legislation, regulation and policies<\/li><li>Connecting with community supports<\/li><\/ul><p>We can also help you by:<\/p><ul><li>Explaining how to apply for AISH benefits or how to appeal a decision<\/li><li>Providing guidance for representing yourself at an AISH appeal<\/li><li>Connecting you to other community support organizations that can help<\/li><\/ul><p>You may be eligible, if you:<\/p><ul><li>Have low income and meet our financial guidelines<\/li><li>You cannot afford a lawyer<\/li><li>You
