CLG is currently offering an articling position to a qualified Indigenous student.  CLG seeks Indigenous candidates who are committed to improving access to justice in the Indigenous community. CLG students represent and provide assistance to individuals with legal issues related to domestic violence, homelessness, criminal justice, seniors’ issues, social benefits and immigration law. This includes significant time appearing in & preparing submissions for courts & administrative tribunals. The position holds a special focus on serving Indigenous clients; however, it is not limited to only those clients. Contract Immigration Lawyer – Part Time

The Contract Immigration Lawyer is a part time legal position reporting and providing mentorship to the Immigration Program Lawyer. The majority of the work involves working with clients who experience immigration and refugee matters and delivering services through outreach summary advice clinics and direct office based legal services.  This position is also a member of the organization’s Legal Team and therefore works with other lawyers in different areas of practice to ensure a coordinated service delivery model.  Deadline to apply is noon, Friday July 27th, 2018. Poverty Law & Homeless Outreach Advocate

The Poverty Law/Homeless Outreach Program (HOP) consists of lawyers and the advocate working with those who are experiencing poverty, need access to resources, are homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness. The Advocate is a generalist, social work position, and as such works closely with all other program areas including social benefits advocacy, domestic violence/family law, immigration, Indigenous services, and elder law since our clients often face multiple challenges and present with complex needs.  This is a Full Time position.  Deadline to apply is noon, Friday July 27th, 2018. Domestic Violence Family Law Program Coordinator and Legal Assistant

The Domestic Violence Family Law Program (DVFLP) Coordinator and Legal Assistant is a Full Time Temporary position with an expected end date of October 31, 2018, with the possibility of extension.
The DVFLP Coordinator and Legal Assistant works with a team of two lawyers and one social worker to deliver services to individuals who may be experiencing additional barriers to legal assistance such as poverty, capacity issues, mental health or general health issues, trauma, and systemic barriers.
